Is Nokia’s Lumia Windows phone series out to challenge the cutthroat competition between the Apple iPhone and Android-powered devices?
Looks like it as we have word from Amazon.com, the world’s largest online retailer, that the Windows-enabled Nokia Lumia 900 currently occupies the top spot in the site’s smartphone rankings, surpassing sales from other popular handsets such as the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX 4G, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G, and the BlackBerry Torch 4G.
Maybe this is attributed to Amazon’s affordable pricing, which effectively makes the Lumia 900 more affordable than when purchased through its official carrier in the US.
In the Philippines, the leading telcos have announced that they will be the exclusive carrier of the much-awaited Nokia Lumia phone series. Globe for the Nokia Lumia 800 and Smart for the Nokia Lumia 900 and the entry-level Nokia Lumia 610.
