Gadgets are expensive already, but would you agree with me that the accessories that go with them are equally pricey? An example is the external Mac keyboard I am using to type this article (because the built-in one is broken). This cost at least US$100. Anyway, let us clue you in on a Chinese brand that has won global awards for its design and craftsmanship but has wallet-friendly prices. The name is BASEUS which is short for ‘Based on User’ which is reflective of its consumer-centric philosophy. Its advantage from other manufacturers is that it doesn’t only design its products but also produces them which ensures quality.
I was totally in geek mode when I visited the opening of the first Baseus store which could be found in Quezon City’s Trinoma mall. I liked how some of the products on showcase were multifunctional.
Baseus Philippines owner Charles Paw showed us this bullet-shaped Wireless Earphone Car Charger (P1490). As the name implies, this doubles as a charger and one can use the other end as a mono earpiece so you can talk hands-free while driving.
The Baseus phone holders for the car are also worth looking at because they cost below a thousand pesos.
There’s the Gravity Car Mount (P890) which has an auto-locking/unlocking cradle so that you can easily use/return the phone in place while driving….
On the other hand, the Gyro Magnet Air Vent Car Mount (P690) easily fits into the car’s aircon vent and keeps one’s phone in place with a set of powerful magnets.
If there’s one thing Baseus has enough supply of, it’s accessories for the latest line of iPhones and iPads.
For example, it sells the Backpack Power Bank Case (1,790) which is the world’s biggest powerbank case at 7,300mAh giving the iPhone 7 Plus/iPhone 8 Plus up to 4 charges.
This cable for the new iPhone is also a beauty for its retractable mechanism. It doubles as an MFI-certified lightning cable and a USB plug (P1,590), making this very handy.
