Pet cafes have been sprouting in Manila. We simply had to visit one since my youngest child, Lucia, loves animals. It’s the best way since am resisting against owning a pet at home. We only have one helper and it’s not fair to the pet if it feels neglected, in one way or the other.
While there are dog cafes in the metro, we chose to visit a cat cafe first due to its proximity to our place. The interiors of the Velvet Friends Cat Cafe in Blue Bay Walk Macapagal immediately warmed me up. The little corners here were too cute to be true 😛
The cats, of course, held their place of honor here. We learned so much about dealing with these furry friends in one hour. No flash photography was allowed and noise was discouraged to avoid startling the cats.
Lucia enjoyed her play time so much. Wearing socks was a must.
This was the tunnel where the cats loved romping in….
There was also a hotel where owners can drop off their kitties at a rate of about P95 per hour.
I paid about P550 for our entrance fees for two which was already inclusive of a milkshake each, good for 60 minutes. I thought it was kinda pricey but the experience was very much worth it.
Couldn’t really identify the breed but Velvet Friends has an all-imported lineup that includes British longhair/shorthair, Scottish fold, Scottish straight, Canadian sphynx, Cornish rex, Devon rex, Kurilian bobtail, Maine coon. exotic shorthair and the Ragdoll.
Oh my, these cats were just so adorbs. Thanks for being gentle and not scratching us, lol.
We enjoyed our time in Velvet Friends Cat Cafe, thank you. I highly recommend this kind of places for parent-child bonding and getting to know more about our beloved animal friends.
