It was in 2012 when TWG Tea Salon & Boutique started its operations in the Philippines. Now it’s 2018 and the luxury tea house is celebrating it’s sixth year anniversary in the country. What better way to mark a milestone than to introduce a special a la carte menu to delight its devotees. The theme is TEA, of course!
Call it tea gastronomy, an assortment of fine harvest teas and exclusive tea blends are artfully incorporated into each specialty dish, imparting unique flavours and introducing a whole new world of sensations to diners at TWG Tea Salons & Boutiques.
Try the appetizing starter of Tokyo-Singapore Tea infused soft shell crab on a bed of mesclun salad with sesame miso dressing (P545).
There’s more seafood to be had in the line-up of main courses and this includes a lusciously poached cod with caramelized brussels sprouts, potatoes and shimeji mushrooms in a Black Nectar Tea infused broth (P655); and the delicious seafood squid ink pasta with scallops, mussels and shrimp, drizzled with Matcha oil (P895).
For those who prefer something hearty, savour on the perfectly pan-seared duck breast with caramelised foie gras, celeriac, apple butter, and apricot chutney infused with Alfonso Tea (P1,355); or lamb shank tenderly braised in Riviera Tea infused red wine with spiced pumpkin risotto (P1,645).
End your gastronomic discovery on a sweet note with a rich and smooth dark chocolate with a coffee panna cotta pudding, glazed with a dark chocolate kahlua concoction topped with a chocolate truffle infused with Chocolate Tea (P275); or opt for the refreshing green apple mousse layered with Vanilla Bourbon Tea
infused custard on a vanilla sable crust with a mango coulis heart (P275).
The TWG anniversary menu is available from 14 to 25 November 2018 at all TWG Tea Salons & Boutiques in the Philippines with branches in Greenbelt 5, Shangri-La Plaza, and Central Square.
