Yay! It feels like Christmas in September as I finally got my first paycheck from this site’s ads yesterday, in US $$$ pa!!. I have to admit I was surprised to receive this mail from my stack of bills… bills….bills. Thank you Text Link Ads, thanks to you dear readers and muchas gracias especially to Yuga for putting the ads on my site and encouraging me to keep up with this blog ad thingy. As you know, Yuga is the Philippines’ main evangelist of blog advertising – so far, he has bought a car, a digital SLR camera and other luxuries with his earnings. Of course, I don’t hope to approximate his “richness” and I didn’t believe him until now. I figured that if this keeps going well, the $$$ revenues from this blog will be able to shoulder my five-digit rent in the tourist district of Malate. Kewwwwl! This is definitely better than other pyramid scams I’ve joined in the past, hehe. And just imagine if all of us can earn from our blogs, we won’t have to transform our young into nurses and call center agents.
My Google ads are still crawling at a turtle’s pace but it is also almost there. Life is good 😛

Congrats on your income. Mita, my asawa (unofficialcook.com) and I well remember our first lovely check from Google.
We\’ve been actively working on getting some of our pamamkins in the Philippines blogging. When we move there full time in a month or so we\’ll be even more makolit about blogging.
It\’s hard to make the $100,000 USD or more that a few of the blogging \’superstars\’ make, but it\’s not hard at all for someone with a story to tell to make $100USD or so per month … and that will buy quite a few groceries or pay the Meralco bill.
The thing I like about blogging is that there are so many generous people who offer help and all the software can be free.
Those who want the \’tips\’ could visit:
http://www.yugatech.com (Abe\’s a great resource and a true gentleman with his willingness to share)
http://www.problogger.net (Darren is another true gentleman, he shares a million bucks worth of information. Read the organized information on the side menus with step by step blogging.
And there is no better source about AdSense than Google\’s own AdSense blog:

Best regards,
Dave
