Are you an extraordinary individual doing selfless work for the community in the style of Mother Teresa? Then you can vie for THE ONE Philippines (TOP) Humanitarian Award. The search will begin in August 2017 and end of January 2018, culminating in a Gala Awards Night scheduled on May or June 2018.
What’s notable about this award is that it will grant a trophy and P1.5 million to the grand winner of the first TOP. Two runners-up will also be chosen and will receive P500,000 each. The prize money is expected to further support the winners’ humanitarian service projects.
TOP will further donate P150,000 to a Philippine government-approved charitable organization or Rotary Club in the Philippines designated by the nominator of the TOP winner.

Madam Chit Lijauco, Rotarian and managing editor of Philippine Tatler, explained the eligibility of candidates and the nomination process…
It was an honor to meet the person who founded and conceptualized THE ONE awards – Hong Kong businessman, hotelier and philanthropist David Harilela.
It was also heartrending to hear about the work of Ms Cecilia Oebanda-Flores, founding president of the Visayan Forum Foundation which has built halfway homes to assist victims of child labor and human trafficking in the Philippines. Ms Flores was a finalist for THE ONE International Humanitarian Award in 2012.
A person may nominate more than one candidate for the TOP Award. Completed nomination forms with all supporting documents to be downloaded from www.theoneintl.org/TOP should be sent to:
