Another world-acclaimed musical is put on a spotlight at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila with the staging of “The King & I.” We were able to watch a preview of the show last Saturday and here’s why it’s a must-see when it opens on September 15:
– all star, talented cast led by Miss Saigon veterans Monique Wilson and Leo Valdez essaying the roles of Anna and the King
– fantastic costumes designed by Rajo Laurel
– fabulous stage and set designs.

Expect “Getting to Know You” to be another anthem after these lyrics “the hills are alive with the sound of music…”. My loyalty still lies with SOM (the family enjoyed it so much!) but then again, we only watched less than an hour or so PREVIEW of The King and I. LOL
Some other things to look forward to in Resorts World’s latest production: performances by Philippine Ballet Theater and musical accompaniment by the Manila Philarmonic Orchestra.
