Temple of Leah is a nice pitstop to make on the hills of Cebu City. You can easily go here before or after seeing Tops Lookout and the Taoist Temple. The Temple of Leah was a must-see since it’s one of Cebu’s newer attractions. It reminds one of the Acropolis in Greece but the story is more of the Taj Mahal in India 🙂
The temple is the architectural tribute of businessman Teodorico Adarna to his wife Leah who died on January 4, 2010 at the age of 69. Guests can see the family lineage in this marker on the wall. One of Teodorico’s grandchildren is the model and movie actress Ellen Adarna.
Leah Albino Adarna was a campus beauty queen and there’s a nine-foot statue ensconced in the temple in her honor.
There are so many photogenic spots in the temple so pardon the poses LOL. The basement area made of marble was still unfinished but one can see how grand it is.
This figure catches the eye for obvious reasons, haha but I really don’t know why it’s placed there.
The viewing deck is so expansive. I heard the place is getting popular for prenuptial photo shoots but it looks like one can also hold special events and parties in here.
Fountain in the middle….
Breathtaking view of Cebu City and the Mactan Channel from the balcony…
The giant golden lion sculptures guarding the entrance is a popular spot for picture-taking. Just be careful you don’t fall!
