As previously announced, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers from Hawaii has opened in Manila…in Greenbelt 3, to be exact. There were long lines for the free burgers and lots of Instagram photos. I was excited to meet the founders – Rich Stula (right) and Teddy’s himself, Ted Tsakiris – a big, muscular man..woohoo! 🙂
First impressions: the burgers are awesome! I think it’s in the quality of the beef – corn-fed chuck or something. You really get to appreciate the meat without all the frills and fancy toppings. Here was the 9 oz. Monster Double with onions and cheese as I saw in the posters. Oh my…food coma indeed!
I appreciate Teddy’s because they offer a Lettuce Wrap option for their burgers, instead of just wheat or potato bun. Less sinful calories that way, LOL.I love their flavorful onion rings and super-thick milkshakes too!
It was my first time to slather peanut butter on a burger … okay pala 🙂 There are a number of choices for the toppings like bacon, bleu cheese, hash browns and avocado.
The cheapest burger, Teddy’s Original 5 oz. , is priced at P265. This combo cheeseburger meal, with sides and drink, was P399. It’s usually fries but they ran out that night so we got a free upgrade to tater tots. The pricing can compete with other gourmet burgers around but it was really so filling and those who don’t eat a lot can share an order.

Mahalo Teddy’s! It was just like going to Hawaii 😉
