Afternoon tea at Chateau 1771 is to be savored amid the genteel surroundings of Greenbelt 5. They serve only the finest La Maison du Thé Tea or Vittoria French press coffee. But the best part is the set menu which rotates daily and presents a delightful surprise each time. They do this depending on what fresh ingredients are available for the day or what tickles their imagination.
Here’s just an example of the high tea menu that awaits diners at Chateau 1771: Seared Beef Tenderloin and Cornichon Canapé, Salmon Gravlax on Mini Pancakes, Raclette Toast, Blueberry Scones, Chocolate Coated Marshmallow S’mores, Apple Crumble or Cherry Tomato and Feta Cheese Picks.
Guests may pay a little extra, and they can turn their meal into a “Champagne Afternoon Tea.” Have a chilled glass of fine champagne or sparkling wine instead of the usual hot drinks.
This Mother’s Day – May 10, 2015, to be exact – all moms who dine in Chateau shall be given gift vouchers which shall entitle them to Afternoon Tea for their next visit.Isn’t that nice?
In the meantime, sister restaurant Café 1771 in Ortigas Center, will open on a Sunday just for Mother’s Day, from 8am to 2pm. Diners will be given a brunch treat of Ebelskivevers, a beloved treat from Denmark which are puffy circular pancakes cum popovers filled with fruit, chocolate, jam or cheese.
