If you have one place to visit in Manila, make it Luneta - more formally known as Rizal Park. I hear it's transforming for the better these days. I get nostalgic because this is after all the Luneta of my youth where I spent memorable times in the play slides and tunnels, then eating ice cream and riding the open-air bus when traffic wasn't still the nightmare it is today. Travel blogger Ivan Henares has journeyed to all 79 provinces of the Philippines. Most of us would be glad to clock up even half of that. Admittedly, I seem to be travelling more abroad than locally these days.
