My seatmate during a recent food tasting session, the esteemed Inquirer columnist Rina Jimenez-David, described P.F. Chang's food as "gentrified Chinese." The description couldn't be more apt. P.F. Chang's cuisine may not be the Chinese food we grew up with but that is exactly its appeal to me. Crispy fried chicken, birthday noodles, salt & pepper spare ribs, sweet & sour pork, beef with oyster sauce, chopsuey .... they all taste the same in Chinese restos all over town but when I go to P.F. Chang's, it's different. For one, they don't have "the usual stuff" on the ... Continue Reading...
PF Chang’s now open in BGC!
After a successful opening in Alabang, the US-based PF Chang's China Bistro finally opened at the Bonifacio Global City just in time for Valentine's and Chinese New Year. The interiors are quite different from their Alabang location. This one is predominantly light wood and has a laid-back country feel. Their trademark terra cotta horses are still noticeable by the entrance. Here's a view I took from the second floor after negotiating the steep stairs (note: not really advisable for senior citizens) PF Chang's is at the W Global Center, BGC (nearest to CAV in ... P.F. Chang’s now in the Philippines! our first taste
P.F. Chang's China Bistro, a popular US-based full-service chain, has opened its first branch in the Philippines & also its first in Asia. The resto is a sprawling two-storey affair at a new complex in Alabang Town Center called The Street. We daresay everything is impressive: from the structure to the modern interiors to the food. The restaurant layout speaks of the fact that this isn't just a place for eating but of drinking and hanging out as well. In a nutshell, here are a few good things about P.F. Chang's at ATC: unlimited rice (and brown rice!), a ... Continue Reading...
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro opening soon in the Philippines
P.F. Chang's, a popular Chinese restaurant which originated in the U.S., opens its first branch at the Alabang Town Center on January 19. Guess what, I haven't eaten in this restaurant but the fact that they have 200 branches scattered across the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and even the Middle East makes this place a must-try. The press release says popular dishes at P.F. Chang's menu include the signature appetizer Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps; all-time favourite Mongolian Beef made from US Angus beef caramelized in the wok with garlic and scallions; and ...
