Funny as it may sound, but the prospect of eating at their in-house resto kept me excited about going to the hospital called Makati Med. Floating Island resto was what kept me primed up for my maternity check-ups (prolly also the reason for my ginormous weight gain, LOL). They serve Lavazza and I would have my coffee here (limited to one cup, at pregnancy). Then the cheap but delish chocolate cobbler at the bakeshop and finally, the house specialties which are really more like lutong bahay. Comfort food in a hospital setting. Welcome to the world baby Lucy!
Hubby and I welcomed the newest (and last!) addition to the family, our daughter Lucia Solenn - a.k.a. Lucy - last May 13. Although I was scheduled to have my C-section on May 17 yet, she chose to arrive on the 13th which was the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima. As I was telling my friends, it's a nice coincidence that Lucia, the name I thought of before I gave birth, was known as one of the three shepherd children who saw the Virgin Mary's apparitions in Fatima in 1917. Cory Aquino, 11th President of the Philippines,dead at 76
The country goes in mourning today with the announcement of the death of former President Corazon 'Cory' Aquino, the 11th President of the Philippines and symbol of the historic EDSA People Power Revolt. She was 76. The official announcement was made by Cory's only son, Sen.
