With Taiwan's visa-free policy for Filipinos extended until July 2019, there is no other perfect time to visit this neighboring country which is only two hours away by plane from Manila. Taiwan's capital city of Taipei alone is worth the trip with its temples, shopping malls, tourist landmarks and night markets. Not to mention, it is teeming with delicious food! How to apply for a Taiwan visa
One of the things that made my recent overseas trip harder than usual was compiling documentary requirements for the Taiwan visa. The last time I did so was for a trip to Japan in 2005. I've also gotten so used to travelling around Southeast Asia where getting around (luckily) doesn't require a visa for Filipinos. EVA Air (BR 272) flight, Manila to Taipei
I haven't gotten out of the country in close to a year, and so an opportunity to go to Taiwan was a welcome respite. I can't believe how close Taipei is to Manila. Flight time to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport via the Taiwanese-owned EVA Air was only one hour, 36 minutes! I think a domestic trip to Davao City takes longer :D I was also happy to try EVA Air, since this is one airline I haven't tried before.
