I grew up in the 90s meeting people in bars and parties. These days, much of the socializing is done online, through Facebook, blogs, forums and other virtual communities. I've counted my FB friends (1,500 or so of them) and realized that 70 per cent of them I wouldn't recognize if I met them on the street. Then it dawns on me that I've been spending most of my time facing dear lappy in the bedroom. The friend I used to have coffee with in 1999 is now the friend who sold me a cookie cutter in Multiply, chatted with me after a webinar or added me as a pal on ... Continue Reading...
The big switch to Windows Live Hotmail
When Gmail first came out, I remember how it boasted that "you will never have to delete your email again." I followed this to the letter and after thousands of press releases, forum notifications and other what-nots later, Google is now warning me that am running out of space and may have to buy additional storage. Gaah! it's letting me down. I used to have a Hotmail account, and now I've opened a new one because of the exciting things that's happening with this service. Guess what? it's giving me (and you!) virtually unlimited storage. Another thing: I don't ... Continue Reading...
The ultimate Katy Perry concert experience with Hotmail!
Katy Perry has been staying Down Under the past two weeks and will be performing again in Sydney tonight and Brisbane tomorrow (May 15) to round up her California Dreams tour in Oz and NZ. We were able to catch her first concert in Brisbane last May 5 and it was an extraordinary experience. KP's energy is superb, her presence and energy is electrifying... like Madonna, there's no doubt she's one of the greatest artists of her time! I was impressed how orderly everything was, even though close to 15,000 people (mostly fan girls) packed the cavernous Brisbane ... Continue Reading...
Fashion-spotting at the Katy Perry concert in Brisbane
Now it can be told: Katy Perry travelled 14 hours from California to perform Down Under (no pun intended). And I travelled 10 hours just to see her too... three hours to Singapore to meet with the Katy Perry Hotmail contest winners and another 7.5 hours to Australia, on a turbulent plane ride at that! :D But it was all worth it because as you well know..... Katy Perry rocks! Can't blame the young fans for having their own culture of Katy Perry adulation. On May 5, 2011, the big concert date in Brisbane, the adoring fans of the California Gurl came to the ... Continue Reading...
Tell us why you love Katy Perry and win her CD!
Katy Perry has been playing in my car radio and I have to admit she's my favorite female singer at the moment. Aside from the fact that she's pretty (in her won right), she's simply oozing with talent & I wouldn't be surprised if she remains a musical star for a long time. You gotta admire this girl's style. Even if lyrics like take me, ta-ta-take me/wanna be a victim/ready for abduction/ are a bit on the mushy side, she manages to make it sound hip. Her music and the way she delivers the songs will always interest me. I wouldn't be surprised if her rendition of Boom, ... Continue Reading...
