Somebody told me: monggo (mung beans) is the new superfood. But unlike quinoa, chia, flax seeds and other nutrient boosters, monggo doesn't have the fancy price. It is very affordable and readily available in your neighborhood stores and markets. In the Philippines, tradition dictates that we have at least a monggo dish every Friday to pair with fish or meat.
