BUM is one of the oldest, most enduring, fashion labels in the Philippines. It used to be called by a much longer name Bum Equipment (itself an international brand). We are happy to hear that the label is still doing well despite the seeming saturation of the clothing market and the influx of cheap imports from China. We heard it from owners Gerwin Cue and Nathan Atienza themselves that BUM has been able to ride the tide by changing their logo and focusing on Philippine provincial cities where most of the market remains untapped. Ortigas skyline at night
Am not a big fan of flying, or of heights and tall buildings but I just have to say the view from the 42nd floor of this hotel in Ortigas Center is quite breathtaking. This manic Tuesday happened to find me in the middle of Ortigas, first: to visit the 34th floor office of Robinsons Land, and then then the penthouse (42nd floor) of another. I didn't quite realize the area is full of skyscrapers. I guess riding high-speed elevators would be like routine if you work here.
