All-Filipino clothing brand Bayo ushers in the holiday season with a fun collection that brings out the fun memories of childhood.
This year’s theme called ‘Style Harvest: A Playful Holiday’ is inspired by classic children’s toys such as yoyos, slinkys, pick-up sticks, building blocks, puzzles, and toy soldiers. Also predominating in the fashion pieces are cheerful Christmas colors—mainly blues, reds, yellows and greens.
Bayo endorser, the actress & host Iza Calzado, channels the free-spirited mood of holiday theme.
Bayo first launched Style Harvest in 2013 to promote Filipino creativity. At the same time, the brand sponsors projects by community organizations to help cultivate Filipino talent and ingenuity.
Last year, Bayo collaborated with the Tourism Office of Pampanga to boost and support the creativity of the artisans of San Fernando who tirelessly makes those world-famous parols. The clothing label also partnered with Virlanie Foundation, Inc. to support its mission to help less fortunate children.
This year, Bayo is partnering with KIDS 4 Others (Kids in Dedicated Service 4 Others) to commemorate the season of giving. Part of the proceeds of the collection will also go to the Concordia Children’s Services and Gentle Hands Inc.
Anna Lagon, Bayo’s creative director, said of the Playful Holiday Collection: “We literally had a playful time while working on the various pieces along with the unique artworks, inspired by the iconic toys we have chosen; it did bring out the child in us. After all, this season, is the happiest time of the year not only for the young, but also for the young at heart.”
