Yes dears, this is the final week of our Share Your Bonifacio Global City Story contest. And it looks like we will be having one winner for our P3,000 Ayala gift card this week. Isn’t that fab?
If you hang out in BGC, work there or visited just once, do send me your thoughts on what makes it rock in terms of food and family bonding time. Am sure there’s something new to rave about it, even if it’s just enjoying the view or jogging in its clean streets. The best things in Bonifacio Global City are free!
If you wanna join the final week of this contest, kindly leave a comment at the end of this post. For the full contest mechanics, click here. I will accept entries only up to August 13.
Let me share with you how our weekend went. Mamou home kitchen in Serendra is one of my fave restaurants, and because the place is always full with reservations, we always end up sitting in the outdoor dining area. It is a blessing, since I always get to people watch and see the world pass by.
Here is the view that greeted me yesterday. It rained, but the overall ambiance was still sunny and bright. The whole place was just starting to wake up, and I liked it because I get to have an unobstructed view. How lucky the residents of Serendra must be to just step outside their doors and get a taste of the metro’s trendiest establishments and restaurants! 😀
Mamou @ Serendra has weekend brunch offerings, another good reason to wake up early on Sundays. I ordered lamb tapa (P395) which is on their regular menu, but qualifies as brunch anyway. It was most flavorful and none of the “gamey” after taste usually associated with lamb. The dish came in a bowl with eggs in truffle oil and a siding of salsa. The good thing with this restaurant, you get to choose healthy alternatives. I was asked whether I wanted red or white rice to go with my tapa, and I chose red 😉
Hubby’s choice was Rau’s Platter (P395) which consists of buttered and toasted whole wheat Mamou’s Sour Dough Bread with eggs and bacon steaks. Their bacon slabs are sliced thick (not thin) and tastes good. I have to say Mamou is really good at curing their meats.
The kids’ choice: Pol’s Pancakes with a siding of vienna sausage (P395). This one is a bit overpriced. I think you get more value for your money with the other dishes.
Check out Mamou’s other brunch specialties:
eggs benedict ( P395), French toast with your siding of choice (P395), the spicy and sweet tuyo with eggs in truffle oil (P395), Pappy’s Toast of smoked salmon, creamy scrambled eggs and cream cheese (P395), and Steak n’ Eggs (P1680, for a single serving)
