The Seasons lunch menu for three courses is reasonably priced at HKD$288 (4-course is $368 while 5-course is $448.) There’s a list provided from where you can choose your dishes.
This was a French resto so I was expecting ‘molecular’ servings but no, they turned out to be surprisingly ample. This grilled salmon and potato salad in dill vinaigrette served as a first course didn’t disappoint.
Up next: gnocchi with bacon, egg yolk and smoked milk. The gnocchi fascinated me. It was pillow-soft and tasted like bread.I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing but I finished this plate 🙂
For my main course, pan-seared seabass with fava beans and thyme foam. I like fish! but sorry Sea Bass, nothing can beat the Salmon in my heart, haha. The sauce of this dish was heavenly.
On Barbie’s: Escargots fricasse with tomato and pastis sauce –
Duck foie gras, spatzle pasta and smoked duck
Chocolate cream, crispy tuile and sea salt caramel –
I did not choose to have dessert for my meal-ender. I had coffee, which was exquisite.
Overall, service and the food was very good. Nice to know that this resto is not bungling things even though they’re still on soft opening, and I can already see the Michelin inspectors coming to give it a star rating. Mr. Elzer promised to change the menu regularly too.
