I simply had to smile (and take a second look!) when I saw this product in Shopwise a few months ago. The label said Bread Spread but it was packaged in what looked like a shampoo/conditioner container. There’s no way this thing is getting into my bathroom. Or else I’d surely feel the urge to squirt the container and then my hair will smell like pesto 🙂
At only P75, McCormick Bread Spread is cheaper than a bottle of conditioner. Months after I spotted it in the grocery, am glad to say that I’ve tasted all three variants. Garlic tastes like the real thing. Pesto of course has a hint of basil and (drum roll pls.) my absolute favorite is the Herb Parmesan simply it’s so tasty and I love cheese! 😉
Using the bread spread is so easy. Just squirt the bottle into your favorite bread, cracker, melba toast and you have an instant snack.
No longer will you fret about appetizers for your next party because this it. I am also thinking of ways to use this as a dip for tortilla chips, salad dressing, topping for grilled fish or chicken. How about finishing off a quesadilla with this, or even devilled eggs? Put a little in a creamy pasta to make it flavorful.
Here are some dishes that chef and columnist Stephanie Zubiri made with the Bread Spread: Pesto Orange Balsamic Salad Dressing, Garlic Herb Lemon Zest Carbonara, and Grilled Stuffed Chicken Breast with Roasted Veggie Millefeuille.
