Eat Wide Awake is another euphemism for mindful eating. Being aware that whatever food we ingest redounds to our overall health and well-being. Well, there’s no other establishment to lead this movement than SaladStop! Philippines because their menu just about rocks with healthy, nutritious stuff.

Because September is here and it’s also Salad Month, Saladstop PH has chosen five forward-looking young people to be the faces and spokespersons of their Eat Wide Awake Movement, shown with Specialty Food Retailers Inc. General Manager Steven Sarmenta. They are volleyball player Michele Gumabao, Raymond Gutierrez, Coleen Garcia and training coach Arnold Aninion. Not in photo is veteran marathoner, Kuya Kim Atienza.
Actress Coleen confessed her go-to order is the Tuna San, a wonderful salad made of seared tuna, mandarin oranges and edamame, among others.
To further enhance its menu, Salad Stop will be introducing two new items this September: the Ting Tong Salad and wrap which has greens, Cajun shrimp, vermicelli, ripe mango, pomelo and shredded coconut, among others, with a Thai peanut turmeric dressing.
On the other hand, this Yeobo Yeobo warm grain bowl has baby spinach, quinoa, roasted chicken, eggs, sweet corn, alfalfa sprouts, and edamame in a Korean chili vinaigrette. Looks yummy!
To kick off September as Salad Month, there will be a month-long “Eat Wide Awake Movement” series of interactive and fitness activities at BHS Amphitheater. The highlight of the day will be a live DJ ride cycling party courtesy of Electric Studio.
On September 16, there will also be an exclusive Hybrid Density Training class led by celebrity trainer Arnold Aninion.
