If Shopwise is the general store of the Rustan’s supermarket chain, then The Marketplace is its upscale younger brother. Unfortunately, there’s none in the area where I live in the vicinity of Sucat, Paranaque but I see a lot of Rustan’s Marketplace branches whenever I go to to Makati and BGC.
It seems they exist in areas with a lot of residential buildings, or those where the wet market (or palengke) does not have a strong presence. In any case, it all reminds me of City Super in Hong Kong.

I love shopping in The Marketplace by Rustan’ s because it’s like a bigger version of the gourmet deli. I see here hard-to-find herbs and salad veggies, excellent quality meat cuts and brands exclusive to the store like Waitrose, Casino and Ghirardelli. There is a great selection of wines as well, fruits, sausages, dairy items and cooked food like roast chicken.
It’s all good, but what’s even better is that Rustan’s The Marketplace is now on Honestbee! This is certainly good news for their clientele who do not want to go to the actual store whenever they want to cook, eat or stock up their kitchen.
Here are some photos from the Honestbee x Rustan’s Marketplace launch event I attended with fellow bloggers a few weeks ago –
How I wish there’s a Marketplace in our area so I can order, haha. You’ve probably read me before when I said that Honestbee is out there in my Top 3 apps for 2018 and I can highly recommend them after trying out their service many times now. What a time-saver for busy moms like me! Honestbee has also been aggressively recruiting merchants – both big and small – which is really great for giving the businesses a good platform and strong online presence.
Download the Honestbee app now on Google Play Store and iOS. If there’s a Rustan’s Marketplace near you, it will show in the app, you can scroll through, shop and wait for the order to arrive…that’s how easy it is!
