I counted my lucky stars when this irresistible package arrived in a cooler on our doorstep: four pints of California ice cream brands in different flavors plus a box of Mikawaya Mochi Ice Cream.

Though I’ve never been to California, there’s something about their ice cream that stands out because it’s so creamy, the ingredients blend so perfectly, and you just know the whole product is of superior quality.
Our hunch was proven true when we talked to California Milk Advisory Board’s Director of Processor Relations Jim Dimataris.

One brand to watch out for is Foxy’s Pash. It offers cultured ice cream and frozen yogurt hybrid that match one’s mood.
“We have Sassy Pash, which has huge strawberry chunks and then we have Naughty Pash with sweet toffee and caramel chunks for those who crave something a little more decadent,” said Pree Scruby, Foxy’s Pash Marketing Manager for Asia.
Other labels offer exciting flavors like wild berry and chocolate flakes, single malt whisky, pomegranate Sorrento, balsamic fig and mascarpone, and peppermint blizzard. They don’t just come in a tub but are also available in frozen yoghurt, ice cream bar and mochi, among other varieties.
There are currently 20 ice cream manufacturers in California that use Real California Milk. Some of their brands will soon make their way to the Philippines, with five to seven coming to Metro Manila and Cebu stores by early 2016.
The introduction of these ice creams will increase the number of Real California
dairy products in the Philippines, beyond milk and the cheeses already available in popular supermarkets such as S&R, Rustans and Robinsons.
