Leading airline Qatar Airways is on a hiring mode for its cabin crew in the Philippines. Its grand recruitment roadshow, which saw very long lines of applicants, just concluded in Manila and will be held in Clark, Cebu and Davao in the coming weeks.
However, those interested should not despair as we found out that online applications for Manila are still open until May 31 via the Qatar Airways website at https://www.qatarairways.com/en/philippines-recruitment/. Online applications for Clark and Cebu close on April 30. Applicants are told to upload their CV and complete the online application when applying on the website.
The recruitment roadshow in the Philippines is being headed by Mr. Rossen Dimitrov, Qatar Airways Chief Officer for Customer Experience.
“Qatar Airways is targeting to recruit a significant number staff from the Philippines and we will recruit all candidates who are found suitable for the roles. Most of these roles are for cabin crew, lounge staff and contact center staff. We do have quite a large number of Filipino staff in Qatar Airways and it accounts for a large segment of our overall cabin crew population.” a source from the airline said.
Furthermore, the executive pointed out that “with service and business excellence being a key value for Qatar Airways, and the majority of vacancies are frontline customer-facing positions, the general rule of thumb is that interested applicants need to enjoy interaction with customers with a helpful and service-oriented disposition. This is particularly important to Qatar Airways as we are the world’s best airline and the only airline in the world that has won the prestigious Skytrax Airline of the Year award six times. Thus, we’re always setting the industry service standard benchmark and have a very high standard to keep. Similarly, we want to recruit people with the same outlook as us, people who are driven to excel and be the best version of themselves. “
