After a successful opening in Alabang, the US-based PF Chang’s China Bistro finally opened at the Bonifacio Global City just in time for Valentine’s and Chinese New Year. The interiors are quite different from their Alabang location. This one is predominantly light wood and has a laid-back country feel. Their trademark terra cotta horses are still noticeable by the entrance. Here’s a view I took from the second floor after negotiating the steep stairs (note: not really advisable for senior citizens)
PF Chang’s is at the W Global Center, BGC (nearest to CAV in Bonifacio High Street). The building will house all the restos owned by Global Restaurant Concepts Inc. California Pizza Kitchen is already here as well as the first branch of IHOP Philippines opening in February. The well-moneyed chain is also bringing in the Seoul-based Mad for Garlic and Yukaku, a Japanese dining concept. Exciting times! 🙂
During a recent visit, I was glad to sample once again my PF Chang’s favorites, not necessarily in this order: the lo mein which has all-vegetable toppings and yet very tasty (P225), shrimp with candied walnuts (P795) and the spare ribs (P650)
But I must say it was their desserts which floored me this time, particularly the fried banana spring rolls with a scoop of their own one-of-a-kind banana-pineapple ice cream (P235) –
The Great Wall of Chocolate served with strawberry and raspberry sauce (P395)
The signature cocktails of PF Chang’s are only priced at P150-200 during happy hour (4 pm onwards) while their appetizers like Dragon Wings, Vegetable Dumplings and Crispy Pork Wontons, among others are only P100 to P175.
Diners on Chinese New Year (February 10) will also be entitled to a 20% rebate for every P1,000 dine-in purchase, represented by two P100 Warrior Deal cards. After this one day offer, guests can avail of the rebate upon their next visit to the restaurant.
