It seems my recent write-up on the blooming Vic Sotto-Pauleen Luna romance, as revealed by Ricky Lo in his Philippine Star column, elicited a lot of comments from our readers who are either for or against the relationship.
Of late, Pauleen’s mom, Chat Luna,has come out with a statement answering the issues portraying her twenty-something daughter as a “gold-digger” for being linked to Vic Sotto.
But we couldn’t help but read between the lines since by her statement, Mrs. Luna confirms that Vic indeed courted Pauleen. To wit:
“We would like to extend our regrets to Mr. Vic Sotto for being dragged in this issue.
We respect his show of interest with Pauleen and trust that whatever she decides regarding this matter will be for the best of everyone.”
Of her daughter, Mrs. Luna said: “She is a very simple lady with simple wants and needs. She has been smart in ensuring that her future is secured through her investments.
“Investments such as the new house she is building from her savings—contrary to the speculations that it was a gift.”
Although Pauleen suddenly went quiet with her Twitter, her past tweets showed her to be a woman in love as shown in this post.
The same couldn’t be said of Oyo Boy Sotto, Vic’s son by Dina Bonnevie, who is said to be against the Vic-Pauleen romance. Maybe because Pauleen is younger than the Sotto children and maybe because she had a gap before with Oyo Boy’s wife Kristine Hermosa. I think Oyo has every right to be hurt regarding this matter. I myself would not be too happy if my dad was dating somebody much younger than I am. But hey, that’s life. Sabi nga ni Forrest Gump, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you’ll never know what you’re gonna get.” In Pauleen’s case, I think she knew what she was gonna get. It was easy to steer clear but she still chose it. So, good luck!
yeah,thats true hindi na kailangan makialam pa si oyo tungkol sa kanyang ama,dahil meron nman syang sariling buhay na dapat pakialaman nya,may sariling mundo ang bawat isa natin hindi na kailangan pang makialam tungkol sa buhay pag ibig na ng kanyang ama.at saka sa pag papakasal nya sa kanyang asawa,wala nman kumontra,kahit na galing ito sa aktor na si diet….but pxa kukuntra kung gayun man meron nman syang sariling buhay problema.
Please po marami talagang mga bagay bagay na hindi natin alam.

i would believe mr sotto is really in love with pauleen if he will marry her. if not you it’s just the same story on all his past affairs – tikman,inanakan at kung sawa na break-up agad.
that’s life .. crush ko pa naman si Pauleen hehe dahil kamukha sya ng asawa ko … pero ganun talga . Kaya nagagawa ng mga tao ang mga bagay na nakakapagtaka dahil sila ay may dahilan . lahat naman may dahilan kung bakit ginagawa ang isang dsisyon at isang bagay tama man o mali. sila ang gumagawa ng buhay nila sa mundo dahil lumilipas din ang tao. kung parihas lang silang nag gagamitan un ay dahil sa kanilang DAHILAN . :-)but Pauleen is i think mabait 🙂

That’s their life, they’re all adults and entitled to their own opinion. Vic’s son is entitled to go against Pauline because he’s protective of his dad and it wasn’t the first time this happened.
no oyo is a meddler. tatay niya matanda at marami ng experience sa babae sa palagay mo maloloko pa ito. ang ayaw ni oyo baka madagdagan pa anak ng tatay niya di mahahati sa mana. ano bang tinapos niya wala yata kasi mukhang siya lang sa anak ang walang nagawa sa buhay kundi humingi kay vic ng mga sasakyan na pamporma kaya mga babae pinapatulan siya pera naman ng tatay niya. oyo huwag kang madamot pera ng tatay mo yan dapat kumita ka ng sa iyo para hindi ka takot na maubusan at mahatian.
