Feliza Taverna Y Cafe by Chef Giney Villar in Taal
One thing I discovered on our day trip to Taal, Batangas: the historical place is also a foodie's destination. Even something as mundane as exploring the town market can be a delight. On that weekend when street vendors gathered in the market square, I had an excellent sampling of Batangueno home cooking - from barbecues to fish, seafood, veggies cooked in coconut milk and desserts. We had so much stuff to take home. When it comes to dining in a more formal setting, nothing beats Feliza Taverna y Cafe - undeniably the best resto right now in Taal. Manning the ... Day tour to the heritage town of Taal, Batangas
Most people from Manila go to Tagaytay, Pansol, Anilao or wherever near when spending their weekends out of the city. Am guilty of that too.But most recently, I went with my friends to a day tour of Taal, Batangas and enjoyed it every step of the way. Our first stop was the town's famous landmark, the Basilica of St. Martin of Tours, more popularly known as the Taal Cathedral. A fine example of Baroque ... Continue Reading...

With Myanmar off the list, Laos and Brunei are the remaining places in Southeast Asia I have to see now. But I digress. Going to Yangon is now made easier with several flights to the city. The easiest ... Continue Reading...
Swag Junior : Japanese-inspired street wear for cool kids on the block
As a mom, I delight in choosing clothes for, and dressing up, my kids. Gladly, they don't rebel against my choices because (ahem...) am confident am fashion-conscious myself. The rule is to stay on the safe side by choosing classics that will withstand trends and time. This is true with my eldest, a boy, who likes his shirts to be in black and white. The rule also applies to the twins who must stick with classic pieces since they still have to hand down the clothes to our youngest, Lucia. Common sense, isn't it? But as my kids are older now, I do feel they are ... Continue Reading...
