I spent the July 27 weekend in Hong Kong and it was quite memorable. First, because it was my newly-minted Samsung Galaxy Mega’s baptism of fire. Was certainly glad to be using the phone’s 6.3 inch super clear LCD screen to capture these stunning views of the HK skyline, Victoria Harbour and outlying islands.
It all felt suureal from my outdoor balcony seat at Ozone, Asia’s highest bar on the 118th floor of The Ritz-Carlton (at.mosphere at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is at 122F). Hong Kong’s skyscrapers looked like tiny parts of a giant chess set. And whether I glanced to the left or to the right, it seemed like the lost world of Atlantis had emerged or something.
So if you ever get to the territory one of these days, I highly recommend a visit. A glass of margarita at Ozone was HKD$128 but the feeling of being on top of the world was priceless.
Picture is blurry but here’s a photo of Ozone’s ultramodern indoor bar area where you can order more cocktails and delight in their Asian tapas menu.
As I found out, Ritz-Carlton service tends to be exceptional and not snooty. Even the washroom attendants were very friendly.
Washroom, toilet, whatever it is. The RC cubicles were far from ordinary.
It had all the classy hardware like marble countertops and these chandeliers.
And again the million-dollar view!
