Outlet stores are a shopaholics’ delight. In the United States, they’re usually found in the outskirts of certain towns. In the Philippines, Robinsons Starmills in Pampanga takes pride being the only mall with the biggest number of factory outlets in one roof.
The trick is not to get intimidated with the location. From EDSA, it only takes 50 minutes or so to reach this mall via the North Luzon Expressway.
It’s been years since I last visited Robinsons Starmills and a bargain hunter like me was excited to score new finds. Whether you’re a serious or leisurely shopper, you’re likely to stumble upon items to your own liking here, as some of my fellow bloggers did.
Janey’s record: three pairs of sturdy and fashionable Nine West shoes for a total price tag of P1700. Whew! That’s like 80 per cent off the normal prices.
In the same outlet called Brandsmart (a division of Rustan’s), Liz ooh’ed at a pair of Nine West heels which cost only xxx pesos She bought it pronto, and I must say, it really looks good with a pair of jeans.
Lauren tries on a pair of pumps with a nice shade of pink. I tried on some too, but the problem here was that most of the designer shoes on display like Nine West, Lacoste, Enzo Angiolini, Superga etc. were the last pairs.:D
My souvenir pose inside the mall. I was impressed with my shopping self-control during this trip. A black office jacket was the only thing I scored. For the most part, it was because my post-partum figure still finds it hard to fit into anything! 😛
Azrael and new momma Lace were practical shoppers. They bought a flat iron and diapers for their baby boy at the Robinsons Department Store. RDS didn’t have a sale during our visit, but I liked the fact that it wasn’t crowded. This department store also has the same labels as Robinsons in Manila .
Karla, the traveller and food blogger, also got practical by buying a piece of luggage that will serve her well in her future trips. She bought this at a huge discount too.
Manila Boy Spanky finds a La Salle shirt that is not totally etched in green.
I will write another post about the in’s and outs of shopping at Robinsons Starmills. Thanks to Ivan Henares and Mr. Lavern Aquino of Robinsons Land Corporation-Commercial Center Division for touring and hosting us 😉
