Cookieholics rejoice! The well-loved Mrs. Fields has grown into a fully-functional Cookie Cafe and it’s coming in our beloved city of Manila on September 1.
Having been a few of the lucky ones to be given a preview of the cafe before it opens to the public, we must say Mrs. Fields at the Manila Pavilion will soon become a hit because of its diverse offerings and heavenly dessert delights, all aimed at satisfying the sweet tooth in you.
Just a few of its mouthwatering selections: giant cookie cakes which you can have inscribed with personalized messages; M & M -encrusted cookie cups; to-die-for gelato in close to a dozen flavors; scrumptious muffins; decadent brownies; yummy milkshakes; and of course cookies just like our mom used to make it.
Mrs. Fields was game enough to open its doors to bloggers and I signed up for the Blog and Soul event not knowing that the owner was my former boss in PR, Gerwyn See. He he. 😛 Gerwyn, together with tres charming wife Sheryl, own the master franchise for Mrs. Fields in the Philippines. The two young entrepreneurs have grand plans of making Mrs. Fields Cookie Cafe the ultimate dessert destination and am sure that with a savvy marketing concept, they will draw the foodie crowd in.
Mrs. Fields Cafe has a homey, country-style concept which makes you immediately feel at home. They have these gift tins, treasure boxes and cookie baskets which will surely be a hit during Christmas and other special occasions. Those cute, cuddly bears look perfect for giving and they’re ready to hug at only P230 for every half dozen purchase of cookies. Joining the Mrs. Fields Cookie Club seems inviting enough because it will entitle you to enjoy the goodies at even greater discounts, get free drinks and even avail of a big cookie cake or other token on your birthday.
Other irresistible treats we saw on the menu:
Butter Cookie with M&M’s or Cinnamon Sugar – Utterly sinful!
Peanut Butter Dreambar – A big winner:) “Creamy peanut butter filling surrounded by two layers of milk chocolate on a cookie crumb crust”
Premium Brownie Collection – choice of Decadent Turtle, Exquisite Mint, and Chocolate Lovers
Mandarin Orange Muffin – your classic muffin with a twist!
Cookies n’ Cream Chillers
Breezers – fruit and coffee-flavored milkshakes.
I can’t for the life of me stay too close in this cookie cafe, at the risk of turning into a humongous cupcake 😛 But I did bring along to the event my one and only son who can’t ever refuse a dose of sugar rush. In fact, upon arriving home, The Son had the words “Tastes Good” inscribed on his palm while enjoying our take-home cookies with milk just before bedtime. He told me: “The party was fun but the part where you were blabbing with your friends?! that was really boring.” 😛 Aaaach.

Thank you Mrs. Fields. Congratulations also to Teh Jayvee Fernandez for organizing the event. It was nice meeting every blogger and do keep tuned to Jayvee’s Blog and Soul for more noteworthy blog-centric events. Cheerio…
