November 29 has also been declared a non-working holiday by Malacanang to commemorate Bonifacio Day which is traditionally held on November 30.
With President Aquino presently in Japan for the APEC Summit, the holiday announcement was made through the government’s Twitter account 😀
Since November 29 falls on a Monday, this makes it a long weekend holiday for countless students, government and private sector workers throughout the country.
After November 29, the next long vacations for 2010 will be during the Christmas and New Year breaks as well as the observance of Rizal Day on December 30.
