Been sick with a viral infection the past week which was a downer. Experienced dry cough and overall body weakness. Friends say there’s a virus freely roaming in the air now so be careful 🙁 Anyway, at one point my muscles were really aching and super timely because I got sick soon after I covered a Tiger Balm event. I immediately thought about the Tiger Balm kit handed out to us, rubbed some ointment on my legs and put two Tiger Balm plasters on my back. Voila! I infinitely felt better and can say the products really work!
Tiger Balm is an iconic Asian brand that’s gained immense repute for soothing, healing and relieving the pain of sore muscles and other symptoms of body malaise. For something to exist for more than 50 years and being present in 100 countries says something about its efficacy as a medicinal product.
And while we’ve always known of the Tiger Balm ointment as the go-to rub when we have headaches and muscle pain, the brand’s mother company Haw Par Healthcare, has introduced Tiger Balm Plaster which uses patented hydrogel technology to address muscular pains, stiff shoulders, contusions, sprains, backaches, and neck pains.
Gel in the Tiger Balm Plaster is embedded in non-woven ventilated material to bring about immediate relief. As soon as I put the plasters on my back, I soon experienced a cooling, soothing sensation. There’s no tingling or “kirot” and I must say I slept well that night and woke up with my muscle soreness gone….miraculously!
Tiger Balm Plaster is easy to put on and easy to remove. The best thing is that it leaves no residue or mark on the skin. The plaster also stayed on even if I had a shower. If you’re a student, working professional, Grab driver, senior citizen, athlete or doing things that cause you stress and muscle aches on a daily basis, we recommend stocking up on Tiger Balm Plaster and conveniently packing a pack or two in your bag, to be applied when pain strikes.
I love the fact that Tiger Balm Plaster is ORGANIC and made of natural materials. As there is no oral ingestion involved and it is only put externally on the body, it’s healthy and there’s no harm done on internal organs (which happens when we take ibuprofen).
Here are photos of the Tiger Balm launch event we attended in Electric Studio BGC last November. We engaged in a strenuous session of indoor cycling which made The Plaster perfect for the occasion.
