Tuna is my comfort food. On those rare days when there’s nothing to eat at home, opening a can of tuna is a no-brainer. One can pair it with rice, put on top of crackers or mix with some dressing for a tasty tuna sandwich.
That’s why when Gold Seas Tuna Chunks was introduced in the market recently, fish lovers like me rejoiced.I made sure to attend their launch at Blue Leaf Pavilion in McKinley Hill to taste for myself the goodness of this tuna.
Some things to love about this product:
– they come in these special flavors like Herb & Garlic, Lemon & Pepper and Mild Indian Curry. But for those who prefer the traditional, Gold Seas also comes in simple Tuna Chunks in Olive Oil, Tuna Chunks in Olive Oil with Chili and Tuna Chunks in Springwater.
– Gold Seas uses only tuna caught through sustainable fishing practices. It’s produced in General Santos City by one of the country’s biggest tuna exporters so each can is really of international quality.
– We love the fact that Gold Seas Tuna Chunks are meatier. They really mean it when they say chunks, unlike other brands where you can taste the extenders or Soy Protein Concentrate used. Hence, we can be assured we’re getting our lean protein and Omega. fix with every consumption of Gold Seas tuna.
– The price points are very affordable. The Yellowfin Tuna Chunks in Spring Water cost only P54 for a 185g can while it’s P62 for tuna in olive oil and the rest of the flavors. The 90g or solo serve cans cost only P36.
Anyway, here are some photos from the grand launch:
