If you love Korean food and pop culture like me, you’ll surely be delighted with the news that their No. 1 pizza chain has opened its maiden store in Greenbelt 3 Makati City. I missed eating here when I visited Korea (where they have 400 stores) but not to fret, @MrPizzaPh is really good too!
It’s pizza like we’ve never had before since they have unique and assorted flavors for their crust. Among these are egg tart, cream cheese, Cheddarella and the bestselling Gold which is made from sweet potato.
Moreover, they take pride in the fact that their pizzas are grill-baked which means it’s healthier since they use less oil.
This is what we ate last weekend: the Potato Gold which we ordered upon the server’s suggestion. The regular size of eight slices cost P630..a bit expensive but you get premium ingredients in return. This pizza had bacon slices, corn bits, crushed chips and of course cheese. But what made this different were the potato wedges which formed part of the topping. It’s a must-try!
Guess what, I also couldn’t have enough of Mr. Pizza’s BBQ Galbi Risotto (P330). The sliced beef in this dish is perfectly seasoned and marinated… it’s so addicting to say the least!
To go with your food, the Hallabong Ade (made from Korean tangerine) and Citron Ade listed in the menu are recommended. You can do it like the Koreans and pair beer with your pizza too 😉
These are the boxes I had for takeout from Mr. Pizza a few weeks ago….
Though it doesn’t look great in this photo, Mr. Pizza’s Oven Cheese Seafood & Kimchi Spaghetti (P280) is my absolute favorite. I love that it’s spicy and oh-so-tasty at the same time. This is definitely more exciting than the mild-tasting seafood carbonara pastas they offer 😉
The resto offers healthy options like this Ricotta Salad with orange slices on top. This is pretty basic, with a sweetish dressing.
The kids easily devoured the Bulgogi Pizza. This would be safe to order if you’re a first-timer to Mr. Pizza. After all, what is more Korean than bulgogi? This one is dee-li-ciousss 😛
So, take-out or dine-in? Of course we recommend the latter. The Greenbelt branch, though small in size, has an open counter where you see the ingredients and the chefs flipping & juggling the pizza dough.
If you want another form of entertainment, there are giant TVs around the place where you can watch the K-pop stars in action.
At first glance, Mr. Pizza looks expensive because their premium pizzas are priced between P800 to P1000+. But there are more affordable varieties too, and I think I saw the basic cheesy pizza at P280. Their offerings are a definite must-taste.
