My boss was kind enough to give me a despedida lunch at Don Henrico’s yesterday as I say goodbye to the Corporate Office and assume a frontline position in our branch in another part of Manila. It is time to move my cheese, so to speak, and being the drifter that I am, I am excited about assuming this new responsibility. The downside is that I will sometimes be working on the graveyard shifts so don’t take it personally if I don’t answer text messages and phone calls during what you’d consider decent hours of the day. That means am soundly sleeping, bwahahaha.
I will miss the sometimes glamorous but mostly pressure-cooker environment of the PR Department, not to mention (former) members of my staff who continue to give it their best in the work they do. Transitions do happen but that doesn’t mean we stop growing. Changes do give us a wonderful opportunity to rise to the occasion and become persons bigger and better than who we are now…
