The news: Samsung has a new product called the Galaxy Camera which runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. You might ask: is it also a phone? It DOES have a slot for a 3G SIM but we daresay it’s primarily a cam. Target market is primarily those peeps who’s crazy about uploading to Instagram pronto and are concerned about superior imagery. Yes ma’am, every pore of your skin in glorious 16 megapixel glory 🙂
The Galaxy Camera will be available this November in Black and White.
Some of the icons you will see on the 4.8″ HD Super Clear LCD screen –
Features to die for: 21X optical zoom lens, Voice Control (just say ‘shoot’ or ‘zoom’ in & it will follow your command), the Photo Wizard, Smart Content Manager and Auto Cloud Backup. Connectivity is supported by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. According to Samsung, the Galaxy cam is the only digital imaging device at the moment powered with WiFi, Bluetooth, WiFi Direct, AllShare Cast and a 3G SIM.
And for fans of the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Note 2 is bigger, more powerful and runs on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
Some friends have been asking me about the difference between the old Note and the new one. Display is much bigger (from 5.3 inch Super AMOLED to 5.4 inch HD Super AMOLED). The new note is also taller but is thinner. Built-in storage remains at 16GB for both, but Galaxy Note 2 has expandable storage of up to 64GB. The new Note also runs on 1.6GHz quad-core processor whereas the old Note was only on 1.4GHz dual-core.
