Kyochon, the Korean fried chicken brand which has gone global (it has a branch in Manhattan) quietly opened at SM Megamall Building B last April 29. Being the K.F.C. lover, I was really excited to sample their specialties and how it fares with the competitors.
First things first, the interiors are a winner. Wood meets industrial elements and it’s easy on the eye. The Kyochon space in Megamall isn’t that big, but they made good use of the space. Note the giant LED TV in the middle.
The main event, of course, was tasting the real Kyochon chicken. We tasted four varieties. The only thing we missed out on was the grilled chicken, I think.
My favorite from this bunch was the Honey Series. The glaze was sweet, sticky and just about delicious! Couldn’t have enough of this, and I almost failed to realize that having 6 small pieces was too much 🙂
