Fresh from the blog of premier pageant reporter Robert Requintina is the piece of news that 24-year old model Katarina Rodriguez might give up her title as Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017, barely two days after she was crowned last Sunday.
The news from the grapevine is reportedly coming from within the Binibining Pilipinas Charities itself. The conjecture is that Katarina may be hounded by a citizenship issue. In the past, title holders were also forced to give up their crown because of unsavory things in their background such as too sexy photos.
But in her Twitter account @KatarinaRodri, the beauty queen readily laughed off the rumors:
“I never made any announcements that I’m not accepting the crown? Is it alright if everyone refrains from making assumptions first”
“And maybe think it’s been two days since coronation which I obviously enjoyed so much. It was one of if not the funnest (sic) things I’ve done.”

In the 2017 Bb Pilipinas pageant held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, crowd favorite Katarina bagged a major crown but Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental is believed to be a third placer compared to Bb Pilipinas Universe (won by Rachel Peters) and Bb Pilipinas International (won by Mariel de Leon).
The other winners are Bb Pilipinas Globe (Nelda Ibe), Bb Pilipinas Grand International (Elizabeth Durado Clenci) and Bb Pilipinas Supranational (Chanel Olive Thomas)
