19-year old Canadian superstar Justin Bieber just became the most active Hollywood celebrity to help the victims of super typhoon Haiyan by personally going to the Philippines to oversee his own aid efforts.
The Facebook post from ABS-CBN’s airport reporter Raoul Esperas said:
“JUSTIN BIEBER ARRIVED 7:10 AM ON BOARD A US REGISTERED PRIVATE PLANE WITH REGISTRY # N 726RW WITH FLIGHT # PEG 26”

However, it’s not known how long Justin Bieber will stay in the Philippines. Within hours after his arrival, #MaramingSalamatBieber and #GivebackPhilippines became trending hashtags on Twitter
Bieber is trying to raise $1 million among his fans to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda) and as of press time, more than $600,000 has been raised.
As an incentive to his donor fans, Justin said one lucky Belieber (as his fans are called) and a friend will be flown for free from anywhere in the world and be given a chance to hang out with him at a studio in LA where he will record his album.
“The moment I heard about the tragedy a few weeks back, I know I can count on you guys to make a difference. So I’m asking you guys to help me, help them. Check prizeo.com/justin,” Justin tweeted.
