Coming from Manila Standard news sources itself, it’s true: The Divalicious will resume publication this Monday. An insider said: “while Malu Fernandez indeed has submitted her resignation, her resignation has not been accepted by higher management, hence we will continue publishing her column.”
It’s a free country after all. And since this is a free country, please be informed that Divatrocious and the pictures therein is a trademark of annalyn.net. You may use the the term freely under copyleft principles, or at least under Ms. Fernandez repents and realizes fully that she’s not being Divalicious (noooh! not at all) in being the mahaderang matapobre to OFWs.

Ajay, yours is the only confirmation with a source other than the actual paper itself.
If this is true then I feel sorry for Manila Standard Today.
But there’s an argument. If Malu was really sincere, then she should just quit. No IFS ANDS or BUTS.
People Asia has already issued a proper statement, and has severed ties with Malu. For the life of me, why Manila Standard Today is choosing to keep silent, and why it has not accepted her resignation yet only speaks of their irresponsibility.
With that said, my follow-up article on this issue will be posted as scheduled.
Thank you for corroborating this information.

So it is true that she’s coming back, eh? Hmm… Let us see what will happen this coming Monday.
@Nick, i agree. Manila Standard Today chooses to be arrogant about this issue. To think that they will be the one who will experience the whole wrath of the consequences.

Indeed, the Philippines is a “free” country and the publisher of Manila SATANdard are free to do what they want.
This is a good test for bloggers and the online community in shaping public opinion and exposing bogus journalism and bogus liepapers….. I say bring it on, baby.

So she’s back, eh? Shame, shame.

I think this is what you’d call “editorial management prerogative” folks.” I do believe though that people have a right to change (in the same way that Jesus redeemed us sinners and brought us to salvation 😛 ) The quality of her writing is a given (not outstanding at all) but I’d be curious to know whether the tone/tenor of her writing will change as a result of the incident.

Gee, first time I heard about this Malu caper here. Been out of circulation for some time. But the thing that struck me was: why did this batty, overweight, socialite insist on flying coach? Super laki ang biz class seats sa Emirates so ba’t di siya doon . Para she could have haughtily declared – a la Marie Antoinette – let them spray themselves with Charlie, for all I care. Btw, so Charlie’s still in circulation? Haven’t seen the likes of them here in Q8 for ages now. Ha – siguro sa Dubai!
Lechonero says
Roast her like the lechon she is!

Hahaha. Maybe she ran out of credit card limit Al or some publicist sponsored her trip and can only afford economy.
Charlie is so 80s di ba? It’s still available in Revlon counters here but even my nanny wouldn’t have it, lol.
Rey says
I guess the higher management thinks her controversial antics will bring in more readers…
Haha. I cracked at your last words. Mahaderang matapobre.
