China’s Huawei introduced in Manila last week three full-featured smartphones for the growing generation of digital Pinoys – Honor 4C at P6,390, Honor 4X at P8,290 and Honor 6 Plus at P17,490.
Nino Carandang, Honor Business Unit Manager, said during the launch event at Treetop Tavern in Makati that the new line of Honor phones boast of “high-end specifications while having usable features and a very honorable price.”
The most expensive & luxurious of the bunch – Honor 6 Plus with a 5.5 inch screen – runs on lightning fast Kirin 925 octa-core processor and 3GB RAM. It is also Dual Card, Dual Usage, and Dual 4G.
“This means you can do completely do away with having a second phone. The Honor 6 Plus can go head to head with any flagship device and surpass those that are priced even twice as much,” Carandang said.
The Honor 4X is another octacore-powered phone boasting of long battery life and a 13MP rear camera. We’re impressed with the camera’s range of features such as Ultra snapshot, off-screen photo mode, all-focus mode and map view which is not bad for a smartphone priced at below 10K.
Now, Honor 4C may be classified as an entry-level handset but it’s not wanting in powerful features. This is clearly indicative of how consumers can gain so much bang for their buck these days without spending too much.
Honor 4C offers a 720p display, 13MP camera and an octa-core CPU on a HiSilicon Kirin 620 chipset. The 8GB internal memory can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD slot. Operating system is Android 4.4 KitKat, with the upgraded EMUI 3.0 for more personalization options.
