If you’ve been to Buendia in Pasay near the LRT station, you would have passed by Nemoto Japanese restaurant. This is what I’ve done several times in the past but I never even bothered to look inside. Apparently, this resto is one of the oldest in Manila…existing for the past 30 years or so.
The friendly Japanese owner can even speak Tagalog fluently. And what’s really cute is her extensive Hello Kitty collection which adorns certain spots of her resto.
The food is cheap and good! Just look at the satisfied customers who are Japanese themselves 🙂
The visit to Nemoto was part of the Avida Food Hunt which we joined last week. Chef JJ Yulo led our group in introducing to us some of the hidden nooks and popular spots in the area spanning Buendia (Gil Puyat) and Taft Avenue, near the De La Salle University campus. Within this perimeter will rise Avida Towers Prime Taft, the latest condominium development of Avida land.
In Nemoto, we sampled the Special Mix Sushi (P450). It was delish! Prices in the menu are really reasonable too, with bento meals at P200++ and ramen at only P180.
With every order, fruits are served.
Bloggers with the happy tummy pose No. 1. I would like to go back!

She’s got those Hello Kitty space figures from McDo. Those are like fifteen years old now 😀
