Hubby and I found ourselves in Quezon City today to have the car repaired somewhere in Roosevelt and somehow ended up in this nondescript place on Roces Avenue. Ending up in a cozy cafe like Heavenly Chocolates reminded me that Valentine’s Day is coming before we know it.
Wouldn’t you like to receive the ‘I Miss You’ or ILY chocolate?
How about the Kama Sutra chocolates? I did a bad job of photographing this, but go figure 😀
Give to impress with their huge OMG Chocolate Bar, P650 for 500 grams.
The chocolates are locally made but use imported ingredients. An exception are the bars of exquisite Sachi nama chocolates which are made in Japan. Otherwise, the house makes those unique products like bacon brownies and dark chocolate with Himalayan salt ( a must-try: salty, after the sweet).
I ordered their chocolate pasta called Montezuma (P150). Just imagine penne slathered with chocolate sauce and topped with bacon bits. It reminded me of eating champorado.I could get used to this as “comfort food” except that I wished the dish had richer chocolatey taste.
Their beef salpicacao or chocolate beef (P135) was quite forgettable and the serving was very small. Sliced beef and mushrooms served on a claypot, with a tea candle beneath to melt the chocolate bits, served on the side.
Hubby’s order of English malt hot chocolate was good, but his claypot meal of arroz con pollo was a disappointment again, with nary a trace of the cacao.
Rating: I wouldn’t go all-out to visit this place, but I can drop by again for their chocolate bars and well, the hot chocolate.
Xocolat still wins it for me 😀

That OMG bar is awesome! Too bad the stuff you ordered wasn’t great. I do have to agree with you that Xocolat is the way to go 🙂

Nice site! I’m still reading your previous posts. 😀 The pasta looks… different. But I’ll surely give it a try if I get a chance 😀
