For a truly magical experience outside of Manila, try “Reimagine the Magic: A Festival of Lights” happening at the Nuvali football field in Sta. Rosa Laguna until January 13, 2019. Visitors, especially the children, will be mesmerized by the visual spectacle of 5,000 LED bulbs lighting a field of tulips amid the accompaniment of well-loved Disney tunes. Here’s a video I took of the display:
The show runs every 30 minutes from 6 to 10 pm. Aside from the laser lights, the crowd will also surely be captivated by a 50-meter light tunnel from where they can pose for selfies like we did. There are also a number of Disney installations in the area.
“Our goal is to bring Ayala Land’s Christmas tradition to the communities south of Metro Manila. We’ve had guests coming from Manila and from neighboring provinces such as Batangas, Cavite and of course, Laguna.” said John Estacio, Nuvali General Manager.
In conceptualizing the show, the organizers wanted something where a group of families or friends can bond while appreciating the great outdoors and the beautiful natural environment, all of which Nuvali offers.
For the first time, the Festival of Lights is selling tickets which will include a fast pass access to the show, a spot in the bleacher seats and Disney-themed bottled water. This is to raise funds for the Hero Foundation which supports the families of fallen soldiers. Part of the Php 50.00 will be donated to the foundation. Interested guests may register and pay online or inside the venue itself.
“Reimagine the Magic: A Festival of Lights” is staged in partnership with Mastercard, HSBC, Sunlife Financial and Globe Telecom.
Nuvali is Ayala Land’s largest masterplanned, mixed-use development. The integrated eco-community has various residential developments from Ayala Land Premier, Alveo, Avida, and Amaia. The estate is also home to various retail, office and recreational establishments like Ayala Malls Solenad, Seda Hotel, Monochrome events place, One and Two Evotech, Camp N, Republic Wakepark and more. Institutional developments like Miriam College, Xavier School and healthcare QualiMed Hospital are also present to cater to the growing community within the estate.
