There’s no denying that the Philippines is undergoing a fitness revolution right now, Manila being a good example. The variety of fitness classes being offered is mind-boggling, not to mention the slew of new gyms being put up. From running & Zumba to yoga to cross-fit to Pilates, name it..we’ve got it.
If you follow my posts, you will know that am one of those who has turned into a fitness addict in the past year. Ironically, I don’t have a gym membership since we already have one in our building. But I’ve been having pure, adrenaline-pumping fun joining specialized classes like circuit rowing in Saddlerow Serendra and indoor cycling at Electric Studio.
The one thing with these special classes is that they can get quite expensive. Paying P750 to P1000 per spinning session is no joke. That’s why I was elated to learn that Asia-based fitness startup GuavaPass has launched in Manila!
With this platform, all one has to do is to download the GuavaPass app on your iOS or Android device and get the dibs on a list of fitness classes happening in various studios around Metro Manila. Upgrade your account to P2,999 a month and get to try a variety of these classes… from Flying trapeze lessons to Brazilian jiu jitsu, Muay thai and 360 kettle bell strength.
This is how the list of classes appeared on my smartphone….
The phone app said ‘Start membership to book class’. One is then free to reserve a class of choice. However, no show and late cancellation fees apply so exercise discretion and enrol only in classes you can handle.
The following premium studios are GuavaPass partners at present:
360 Fitness, Bikram Yoga Manila, Beast House, Beyond Yoga, CrossFit MNL, Elorde Boxing, F45, Flying Trapeze, Focus Athletics, Groundzero, HIIT Philippines, L!FE, Lift Hard, Ninja Academy, Polecats Manila, Plana Forma, Platinum Executive Fitness, Primal Ape Crossfit, Saddle Row, Sante Impact System, Ultimate Fitness, Urban Ashram Yoga.
Needless to say, am excited to enrol in GuavaPass and will post my review soon.
