What’s good and what’s not for your health? Is coconut oil really the wonder ingredient it’s claimed to be? Is it better to
eat carbs in the morning or evening? What’s the best way to beat stress?
If you ever found yourself asking these questions at one time or another, then a show like ‘Trust Me I’m a Doctor is highly recommended for you.
Headlining the series is Dr Michael Mosley, award-winning medical journalist, author, BBC presenter and medical doctor, of course.
Mosley himself graced the media launch in Manila of the latest series of Trust Me I’m a Doctor which premieres on Monday, April 16 at 10.15pm on BBC Earth (Cignal channel 245).
Mosley revealed that he is no stranger to the Philippines.
“My family moved to Manila when I was two and we lived here until I was six. I’m very excited to be in Manila again, seeing it from a different point of view, and talking about common health and
wellness issues and myths. I hope that the latest series Trust Me I’m a Doctor will resonate with Filipino viewers and provide them with information that will help them live better, healthier lives,” the doctor said.
The first episode of Trust Me I’m A Doctor Season 7 focuses on mental health and explores the impacts of sleep, laughing,
and food on the wellness of our minds.
In episode two, Michael takes on beverages. Do fizzy drinks make people eat more? Does caffeine boost physical performance?
The use of coconut oil is quite popular with Filipinos. Michael tests the claim that it can cut out
cholesterol in episode three.
Succeeding episodes will investigate if eating carbs at night is bad for us as well as how to minimize
the effects of jet lag, among other topics. There are four episodes in this new series.
