Galaxy S II, Samsung’s much-awaited Android phone, will officially be available in the Philippines next month or June 2011. I first saw this phone last month. Head to head with the LG Optimus 2X and Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, some people are actually saying that Samsung’s Galaxy S II is the best of the bunch. Let’s see 😀
At first glance, what impressed me most was the ultra-crisp screen display. Not surprising since the phone boasts of super AMOLED plus screen. Images, as seen by the human eye, are clearer than ever before.
Anyway, here’s the rest of the Samsung Galaxy S II specifications as provided by the workaholic PR guys of Samsung:
1.2 GHz Dual-core application processor makes for fast web browsing, supreme graphics quality and instantly responsive 3D user interface on the large screen.
latest version Android™ 2.3 Gingerbread
8MP, high-profile camera and camcorder with 1080p full HD recording and playback.
integrated mobile applications through Samsung Hubs which delivers a rich catalogue of books and magazines, music, advanced mobile games and features for more efficient social networking
Travellers should find the Galaxy S II’s Customized Voice Translation application handy since it translates voice or text into – and from – a range of languages: simply speak a word or phrase into the handset and it will instantly translate it, with audio and text output.
Likewise, Kies Air allows users to manage their smartphone contents from their PC, via local WiFi connections. download photos taken on the built-in camera, listen to music, check missed calls and send messages in the web browser on their PC. For added connectivity, WiFi Direct allows consumers to connect to wireless-enabled PCs and printers without the need for wireless access points.
