I’ve been trying to eat healthy these days, if not for our trusted kasambahay (nanny) serving me garlic fried rice every breakfast. On “cheat days,” the good’ ol reliable fastfood seems a logical choice. Lately, I’ve been taking a fancy on Burger King, or BK for short. I love that they have wi-fi, comfy upholstered couches (in some branches) and their menu choices are far from the ordinary.
Just take a look at this:
Hershey’s Sundae Pie for dessert! At only P95 per order, this is certainly an unexpected treat to find in a fastfood but much-deserved, more so if you’ve got the sweet tooth. Melt-in-the-mouth mousse sandwiched in between a delish brownie crust and crunchy, chocolatey topping. Two words: yum yum 🙂
Am getting addicted to the BK onion rings. I love how they’re crispy, firm to the bite and don’t go soggy. Better than French fries in my book (but their fries are also good).
Fried chicken is an alternative too. But for those who don’t like rice to go with their meal, Burger King has unveiled their Chicken Crisp Fillet Sandwich which they proudly term more “FILLET-vorful.”
Unfortunately for the competition, I sorta agree. Considering its size, the BK Chicken Sandwich is value for money for only P55. We can taste that it’s made of 100% real chicken and BK assures that they use only oil that’s free of transfat. The correct frying method ensures that the chicken fillet retains its crispy coating and the juiciness of the meat is locked inside.
So yeah, enjoy this sandwich freshly served in a warm, toasted bun and topped with crisp green lettuce. Take your pick between two delectable sauces: the honey mustard sauce is sweet & tangy while garlic mayo is zesty, with real garlic bits. I vote for Garlic Mayo, but there’s no reason why we can’t alternate between both.
The Chicken Crisp Fillet Sandwich in itself is only P55. Get it with regular fries and Coke for only P85, or with regular fries and float for P100.
These new products are available in all Burger King stores in Metro Manila or call the BK Delivery Hotline at 667-7171.
