Fiery Style is a homegrown restaurant offering the best of Tex-Mex and Southwestern cuisine. In barely five years, they have multiplied to eight branches in the major malls in Metro Manila, with more plans to expand. The latest resto is found in the upscale Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City where they entice passing shoppers to dine with just the mere glance of their inviting interiors.
Fiery Style Uptown Mall boasts of the main dining area and two bars serving mojitos plus other heady cocktails. I can say it’s a good place to feel at home and hang out with great friends….
We were able to meet the young owner Matt Tee who is hands-on with his team in operating the growing chain of Fiery Style restos. We learned that his family’s core business is catering so they already know how the industry runs – from sourcing to managing staff and of course preparing food that pleases a crowd.
Fiery Style is not your hardcore Mexican restaurant, in my opinion. Some of the dishes have been adjusted to fit the Filipino palate, but the result is still pleasing. In fact, there are a few dishes by which you can remember this resto for.
The most popular one is their Fiery Nachos (P388) which arrives with dramatic effect on the table. It comes in a round aluminum enclosure which the server lifts to reveal a mountain of tortilla chips with oodles of yummy toppings. Nacho cheese sauce, guacamole, tomato salsa and refried beans are just some of them. This serving is definitely good for sharing.
The Galleon Grills (Chicken & Rib Combo) is another attraction. It comes with roasted jerk chicken and BBQ pork ribs served with poutine fries or a choice of fiery rice and corn on the cob. Only P998 and is ideal for 2-3 persons.
On our table: the Flaming Fiery Salmon Salad (P388), Cheesy Quesadilla (P378), Surf and Turf Combo consisting of rump steak, chicken BBQ, shrimps (P458), and their BBQ Pork Ribs meal set (P258). Thumbs up!
Aside from their wide selection of Tex-Mex and Spanish favorites, we think one big factor for Fiery Style’s growing popularity with locals is the affordable pricing of their food. And the chain plans to ride on the wave further by offering their Combinationes meals or combo meals, where nothing is priced above P300.
BBQ pork ribs set with corn, onion rings and rice (P258)…
Sizzling tender beef salpicao with baked bone marrow (P268)
Did I say it’s a nice place for “chillax” with the family or the barkada? Their wide selection of drinks won’t disappoint… from sangria to tequila. They have friendly servers and bartenders too!
